 Top Image - Last Edit In the current version of The Kid, Jackie is shown giving a prayer. Chaplin also edited in more of himself fighting the police, editing down some of Jackie's footage. Bottom Image - 1950s Reissue In the earlier version of The Kid, the clip that showed Jackie giving a prayer doesn't exist. On a personal note, I found Jackie's scene more intense in this earlier version and one of his best scenes in the film. |
